HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT



At least one of the authors have to be registered to submit the abstract, and each registration supports two abstracts. All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee, and author will be notified by the Committee whether or not the abstract has been accepted.

Contributors should submit original work in Portuguese, Spanish or English electronically by SIMCOPE´s homepage (www.simcope.com.br),from April, 15 th until july 31 st .

ABSTRACT THAT DOES NOT ATTEND RECOMMENDED FORMAT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND ALSO  SHOULD SHOW APPROVAL OF ETHIC COMMITTEE, WHEN NECESSARY.


Contributors should submit abstract with maximun of 5 pages (included figures and/or tables and references), in MS Word format (doc or docx), font Book Antiqua 11, line space of 1,5, A4 paper size, with 3,0 cm upper and down margin, and 2,5 cm of right/left margin.

Abstract should contain:

a) title;
b) author(s);
c) name and address of institution and e-mail of correspondence author;
d) abstract and key-words (maximum 6);
e) introduction;
f) material and methods;
g) results and discussion;
h) conclusions and
i) references.

Figures and tables should be numbered using arabic numbers and title should be descriptive.

Pages have to be numbered. Citations in the text should be in caps lock using the style (author, year), and in case of more than two authors please use (name et al., year).  
References in alphabetical order of authors surname, without numbering. Please show ALL authors of the article, publication date, article title and periodic, volume, edition, and page number/page interval.

Tables should be elaborated using MS Word format to avoid configuration problems.
Author should choose and indicate one of thematic area listed below when submitting abstract, and research with human and/or animals experimentation should show the approval of the ethic commitee. Abstracts out of this recommended format will not be accepted.

Abstracts will be published in the Annals of the Symposium (ISSN 1983-1854) and will be presented at SIMCOPE as  e-poster,  the  template/model will be available in the website at participants area . Authors will have one week after abstract approval to send e-poster to the Scientific Committee.

FULL ARTICLE:

Abstracts accepted for presentation in poster format can also be submitted in the format of full article to be published in a special issue of Boletim do Instituto de Pesca (BIP). This special issue will gather only the 15 best approved abstracts, and will be evaluated by the Scientific Board of the BIP.

E-Poster Format

Attention: All abstracts will be presented in e-poster format in a LCD monitor. Template/model and instructions will be available after 22
/1 st/16.

PRINTED POSTER WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED


Each e-poster will receive a numbering code for identification and this code must be informed in the e-poster.
Author/co-author is responsible to send the e-poster, according to recommended format, to the Scientific Committee, in the maximum of 1 week after approval.
Presentation will take place every afternoon, in LCD monitors, according to the template/model.
e-poster should contains: title, author/co-authors name, institution address, introduction, methodology, results and/or conclusions, illustration and financial support.

Authors will receive one (01) certificate
for each present for each presented work, with the name of all authors. Certificates will be available at the last day of the event.
